Feelin' Good!

Ava gave Mama a scare this week when she came down with a mild case of pneumonia! It started with a fever on Sunday and I took her to urgent care right away thinking strep might be back for a visit. That was negative and the doctors there decided it was a virus. She had a fever on an off through the week and woke up Thursday with a very high temp. I took her to her peds first thing and after a few tests (chest x-ray came back negative so we caught it early), blood work came back positive for pneumonia.

You wouldn't know it now! I took this pic last night and she was already back to herself and did not understand at all why she couldn't go roller skating this morning:)

What Have We Been Doing All Week?

Ava loves her new DSi. I try to limit the amount of time the girls play video-type games, which is easy during the week, as they have school, ice skating (M) and gymnastics (A). But they manage to plug in for about a half hour, right before dinner.

Grading by Candlelight

Huge power outage in our region last night and I didn't want to fall behind in grading papers. Turns out that school is cancelled today, so I have plenty of time. It was 91 degrees in the house last night--at 10pm!

M. had a lot of fun taking pictures of Mommy working like a "Colonial" teacher.

Homestudy agreement, etc. I'm still waiting on some documents, but I'm close enough I could get this off and going. I'm hoping to have my homestudy completed by the end of the month, but that might be a little optimistic.

Also accomplished this week: My mom and I were fingerprinted, I tracked down my daughter's teacher from last year and asked him to fill out the required form from my home study agency, got all my referencees lined up (most of them are school teachers, too, so I had to wait until we were back to work), and I sent paperwork for apostille seal. I am finally nearing the end of my dossier to-do list :)
